At its open meeting on January 23, 2018, the Railroad Commission adopted amendments to 16 TAC §§18.1, 18.4, and 18.11 to implement provisions of House Bill 1818, 85th Texas Legislature (Regular Session, 2017) and to implement program requirements imposed by the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration. The adoption notice will be published in the Friday, February 9, 2018, issue of the Texas Register, and the amendments will become effective on Monday, February 12, 2018. Also, the Commission proposed amendments to various rules in Chapter 7 to correct some rule and statutory references, to change the title of Chapter 7, and to make other nonsubstantive corrections. The proposal will be published in the Friday, February 9, 2018, issue of the Texas Register; the public comment period will end at noon on Monday, March 12, 2018.
